The one-week Force Management Instructor Certification Course (FMICC) is designed to educate, train and certify military and civilian Instructors / Facilitators on how the Army runs in the current Operating Environment (OE).
FMICC teaches the roles, missions, and functions of the seven interdependent and continuous processes within the Army Force Management Model (e.g., strategy, joint capabilities integration and development system, defense acquisition system, structure, authorizations, personnel, and materiel), the nine Force Integration Functional Areas (e.g., structuring, manning, equipping, training, sustaining, funding, deploying, stationing, and readiness), and the requirements, acquisition and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes that work together to produce trained, lethal, and modernized forces for the Combatant Commanders.

Individuals must have successfully completed an Army Foundational Instruction Course (Army Basic Instructor Course – ABIC, Faculty Development Program phase 1 – FDP1, or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course – CFD-IC); additionally, they must be assigned to or programmed for an instructor position that teaches Force Management topics. All Soldiers attending institutional training courses are expected to meet the physical readiness standards of AR 350-1 and body fat standards in accordance with AR 600–9.
